Treks >> Manaslu (Nepal, 2020)

We invite you to take part in a trip to Nepal! This is not our first trip to this country. This time we plan to go around one of the Nepalese eight-thousanders - Manaslu - and climb Lark peak (6,249 m).

On the track, we will see magnificent scenery with views of Manaslu (8,163m), peaks from the ridge Ganesh Himal and others. During the trip we will see both traditional Hindu villages and villages more similar to Tibetan ones.

The landscape will astonish us with its diversity: the route starts at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level, in the zone of tropical forests, and rises to an altitude above 5000m to the Arctic zone, with the high mountain glaciers. In spring, you can see the flowering of various types of rhododendrons.

Wiki about Manaslu:

Manaslu (also Kutang) is a mountain in the Himalayas, the main peak of which (8156 m) is the eighth-highest eight-thousander in the world. Manaslu is part of the Mansiri-Himalay massif (also known as Manaslu-Himal), located in the north of central Nepal.

The name Manaslu is translated from Sanskrit as “Mountain of Spirits” (from Manas - spirit, soul).

In 1956, the first climb to the mountain of the Japanese expedition was made - Toshio Imanishi (Japan) and Gyalzen Norbu (Sherpa). To date, 10 different routes have been laid to the top of Manaslu. Manaslu is considered a dangerous peak, as the climbers' mortality rate is quite high, it is 17.8% (for the history of climbing)
