Returning to the question of solar panels ... The experiment showed that solving the problem of providing youself with electricity with the help of solar panels only is not an easy task.

Since the purchase of the first solar battery, there has not been a single clear day. The first battery in three days did not increase the battery charge by a single gram. I suggested that the battery just didn't work and bought a second one. The second battery also added exactly zero to the battery level per day. And then I decided to read the documentation.

On a clear day, an A4-format battery will charge a 5000mAh battery in 8 hours. This is if the sun's rays fall on it strictly perpendicularly. Let's change the position of the battery and the charging time will increase even longer ... If there are clouds on the sky, the manufacturer promises to charge the battery in 16 hours. In cloudy weather, charging time tends to infinity.

Since part of the track definitely falls on the rainy season in Nepal, I will have to take this fact into account and take extra batteries and charge them in the villages. The weight of the equipment needed to provide electricity increases. So I need to think about reducing the weight of electronics.
